Born in 1930 in Jallunder India, Sohail was in the traumatic Partition of Pakistan and India, during 1947. The horrific experiences he witnessed have been the driving force behind much of his painting.   He moved to London in the early 1960s where he attended St Martins School of Art and began his painting career
He moved back to Pakistan in 2002 and has since had major successes with sell out exhibitions in 2007 and 2008.  Now with prices soaring at Auction in Dubai to approx $30000 he has finally taken his rightful place among the great Asian painters of the 20th Century.
